چکیده
Discussions continue about whether Middle Eocene magmatism in the Eastern Pontides is associated with collision or subduction. This paper presents new whole-rock geochemistry, Sr-Nd isotopic and 40Ar-39Ar age data for volcanic rocks from Bayburt area of (NE Turkey) to investigate their sources evolutionary history. The 40Ar–39Ar ages reveal that these erupted between 44.6 ± 0.1 Ma 43.5 Ma, within Lutetian (Middle Eocene). studied are composed basalt, andesite, basaltic andesite minor dacite lava pyroclastic rocks. These consist plagioclase, amphibole, pyroxene, olivine, biotite, sanidine quartz phenocrysts Fe-Ti oxides. They have microlithic, hyalo-microlithic, porphyritic rarely glomeroporphyritic textures. low high-K calc-alkaline affinities. display enrichment large-ion lithophile elements depletion high-field strength high Th/Yb ratios, which indicate magmas forming were derived lithospheric mantle enriched by mostly slab-derived fluids spinel stability field. 87Sr/86Sr(i) values vary 0.70485 0.70551 143Nd/144Nd(i) 0.51255 0.51267. correspond array on isotope ratio diagram. main solidification processes fractional crystallization assimilation. Petrology and Presentation: A Seven-Stage Model forGeodynamic Evolution of the Northeast Region of Birjand,East of Northern Lut, Eastern Iran
The northeast region of Birjand is located in Lut structural and geological province. In this area we can distinguish two separate volcanic rock groups: intermediate to acidic volcanic rocks, including dacite, andesite, rhyolite and trachyandesite; and basic rocks, including basaltic andesite, mugearite and basalt. In this region, intermediate to acidic rocks, which belong to the Eocene-Miocene...

The Eocene volcanic rocks exposed in the NW Sechangi area of Lut block, include pyroclastic deposits and lavas. These volcanic rocks are basalt, basaltic andesite, andesite, andesite-trachyandesite, trachydacite, dacite and rhyolite-ignimbrite in composition. Based on our field observations, the volcanic rocks erupted in four stages in the aquous to subaerial environments. The volcanic rocks ar...

Oligo-Miocene Bagh-e-Khoshk granitoid stock is intruded into the Eocene volcanic rocks in the southeastern part of the Urumieh-Dukhtar Magmatic assemblage in Iran. The granitoids are mainly consisting of diorite, quartz diorite and granodioritic rock types. They are metaluminous to slightly peraluminous, medium to high K calc-alkaline, with SiO2 ranging from 50.2 to 66 wt.%. The majo...
